This was long the bank building,and has the logo of the Birmingham District and Counties Bank above the door.(See photo below) In 1890, this was
listed as 'Draw on Williams, Deacon, Manchester and Salford Bank Ltd, London' By 1917, this was the United Counties Bank and by 1937, Barclays Bank.
Between 1950 and 1995, Barclays redeveloped the site next door, and left the premises. Briefly it became the Town Library as the Morgan Library was closed while a
disabled persons ramp was installed. It was occupied by the Euro Group of companies making electronic parts. In 2010, Harfitts acquired it as an estate agents premises.
