A three storey building with sash windows. From the late 17thC o about 1835 it was the 'Crown'- a major inn on Wem High Street.
No 36 was owned for over 30 years by the Ormistons who were described by Kelly's directory as 'Shopkeepers'. Mrs Rowlands succeeded them. It is now a Chinese takeaway.T
here is a small logo on the front wall claiming that this was the site of the Swan Inn.
