This was previously described as an 'unassuming establishment on 2 storeys which housed the Seven Stars pub. In the 1771 census, a 21 year old from Staffordshire
ran it using the name 'The
Tewkesbury Arms' However, by 1881 it had reverted to 'The Seven Stars'
In 1908, it was knocked down and rebuilt as the town's Post office.William Stinchcombe, youngest brother of baker Eva Tomlins (No.17 High St), was listed as the sub-postmaster In the late 20th century,the Post Office
moved its sorting office to a site in the Business Park and the counter operations to the Morris centre. This building was then acquired as a pub again, and was re-opened as 'the Old Post Office'
