Wem High Street - Nos 66-78
The north side of the 'Mound Ditch' corner (possibly known as Bow Street) comprises a wide range of styles. Two of them (66 and 68)are end on to the road, 68 is a
17th Century (probably) timber-framed cottage with a steeply pitched concrete tile roof (originally thatch??) Central chimney stack. 72-78 (left in picture) are a small terrace of houses on three storeys and white-painted. In a traffic-free environment they would have been very smart, Georgian town houses.
This row has had little commercial use.
